First Steps to Positive Mental Wellbeing Course

This course helps people become more aware of their emotions, thinking, behaviours, and physical symptoms. By increasing our awareness we can challenge unhelpful patterns and start to feel more in control of our thoughts and how they make us feel and behave.

Participants are encouraged to work with others in small groups to learn ways to help themselves feel better and identify personal coping strategies for moving forward.

First Steps course is led by a staff member, with the support of a volunteer peer facilitator because it’s helpful to have someone leading the course who has gone through some of the same challenges as participants.

There can be up to 16 participants on this course.
