Then our new Build Your Self-Esteem Course may be for you. This course can help you to challenge the deep-rooted negative beliefs you might hold about yourself and change your self-image.


‘Build Your Self-Esteem’ is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) course. The course aims to help you understand what low self esteem is, how it may have developed, and what keeps it going over time. It is a brief course, but it aims to introduce some useful tools which, when used consistently over time, can challenge the deep-rooted negative beliefs we hold about ourselves, and change our self-image. Learning these strategies can help you to start living the type of life you want and deserve!

The course will be run by one CBT therapist and a volunteer co-facilitator who will help support the running of the group.

Course Outline:

1. Introduction to low self esteem and the CBT Model

2. Understanding low self-esteem and the role of self-critical thoughts

3. Understanding and challenging anxious predictions

4. Understanding and challenging rules and assumptions

5. Gaining a balanced view and accepting positive qualities

This course is suitable for people experiencing low self-esteem, who want to understand it better, especially in relation to low mood, depression or anxiety. We invite you for a brief telephone assessment to help decide if this would be the most suitable course for you, right now.

This is a face-to-face course and participants will be required to share space within a group environment.


This is a face to face course, locations vary.


5 weeks, 1 hour per week.

All course participants are also required to attend a pre-course telephone appointment lasting 30 minutes.
